The Adventures of Gingerbread house building

I thought this year it would be fun to try a gingerbread house.  They have those cute little kits at the store you can buy, that have it all in there for you.  So, while Erik was out winter camping with the scouts, the kids and I had movie night, and proceeded to build our gingerbread house.

We pulled all the pieces out of the box.  It looks easy enough.  I mixed the frosting according to package directions...easy.  Then it came time to apply the frosting, first of all that stuff doesn't stick for crap, and once I got it on there, the walls of the gingerbread kept falling.  I grabbed some duncan hines frosting from my fridge, and used that...much better.  Anyway, I don't think that I will do a gingerbread house next year...it was not that fun for me.  The kids had fun decorating it though.

Hahahah Jen! You crack me up. I would have pulled my hair out. I'm impressed though, the end result looks good! Better than I could have done.
