Updating!

Hello Friends,

The Groves family is finally updating the blog!  We are slow.  Do I hear cheers?!  Erik is so busy with school and work that this task lies with the "blog-illiterate" Jennifer.  I have spent several hours this morning working on figuring the ins and outs of how to blog.  I am still trying to figure out how to get a cute background.  If any of you have ideas I welcome them.  I need all the help I can get with this.

We so love reading our friends and family blogs that we (well I) am determined to make ours somewhat cute.

I just wanted to give a quick family update.

Erik is busy with school and work, and up until recently has been devoting some of his extra time to the Mitt Romney campain (not sure how to spell).  We are sad with the outcome, but hopefully Mitt will be game in 2012.  Erik still gets to go to convention as top delegate for our precinct.  Erik's supportive wife Jennifer has not yet caught the "political bug", but Erik is hopeful.  :)  Who knows, there is a possibility.

Jen:  Is no longer in school.  I am absolutely loving the time that I get to spend at home with my kids.  The grow up so quickly, and though I do look forward to the time that I will have to focus on the things that I want to do, there is nothing that I would rather be doing than this.  I am in the process of getting myself back in shape, and ready for training.  My brother is going to Kuwait in Feb for a year, and when he returns he wants to do a triathalon, we have decided to do it together, along with Dad, and whoever else wants to join the pack.  We'll see how it goes.

Ethen:  Our busy 2nd grader just took up Tae kwon do.  He has been wanting to join for quite some time, and thanks to Uncle Sam we are able to sign him up this year.  We think it will be really good for him too.

Mia:  Lives for going to dance class, and spending time with her friends.  She is starting up a pre-school group with mom and a few of her other friends and their moms.  She will do this until she starts kindergarten in August of which she can hardly wait.

Kendall:  is crawling and getting in lots of trouble.  She is like a little puppy.  If you asked her what her favorite hobbies are they would be, playing in the toilet, or trash, picking up foreign things off the floor and eating them, eating shoes and or playing with electrical outlets.  (electrical outlets are covered, and mom and dad are diligent about keeping her from her other favorite activities except for the foreign things on the floor, she finds things after I've vacuumed that I never knew were there.)

My mother in law Susan has requested pictures of me on the blog.  I am working on getting those.  I am usually taking pics of the kids and Erik, I will be more diligent in having my picture taken as well.

That is the current happening with the Groves.  We send love to our friends and family!
