Afternoon of Horseback Riding

Erik has been doing some work dealing with a group that trains racing horse. As part of the research, the kids went with him to a training facility to learn about the horses. Ethen and Mia had a chance to ride on horseback for the first time.

The horse that they are on is Raffie, a white Arabian stallion that is owned by one of Erik's co-workers. Mia took right to it and had an absolute blast, and was laughing the entire time. Ethen took a little bit to get used to riding on the horse, but by the end he had a smile on his muddy face.

Of course, Mia wants to ride horses now... time to mortgage the house...
